The House of St Barnabas and Smoke Creatives in collaboration with the Stuart Hall Foundation present Countless Actions: Movie Night with Elaine Mitchener.

The evening will start with the screening of Lizzie Borden’s Born in Flames, a film that was chosen by artist Elaine Mitchener.

Following the screening, Mitchener will talk more about why she chose this film and how it has influenced her life and work.

Mitchener is an experimental vocalist, movement artist and composer, whose work encompasses improvisation, contemporary music theatre and performance art. She has performed at numerous UK and European festivals, venues, and galleries including the 56th Venice Biennale, Southbank Centre, Wellcome Collection, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. The Stuart Hall Foundation co-commissioned Elaine’s latest project, SWEET TOOTH, which premiered at Bluecoat in Liverpool in November 2017.
