The Raymond Williams centenary conference takes place in Manchester on 22-23 April 2022.

Hosted by the Raymond Williams Society, this international conference marks the culmination of a series of events to assess the relevance and reach of Raymond Williams’ work in his centenary year.

The conference presents twelve panels over two days, and includes keynotes from Rhian E. Jones, Daniel G. Williams, as well as speakers from the Stuart Hall Foundation: SHF trustees Michael Rustin and Gregor McLennan, SHF Associate Nick Beech, and Stuart Hall Fellow James Smethurst.

The conference will also present the book launch of Culture and Politics by Williams (edited by Phil O’Brien), and the performance of Yes! Yes! UCS! by Townsend Theatre Productions.
