Jade Lindo is a Design Historian, a recent graduate of MA RCA/V&A History of Design. With a BA in Fashion from University for Creative Arts, Epsom. A Gillian Naylor prize winner, intrigued by issues of social and cultural histories surrounding identity, hair, beauty and colonial impacts within the Caribbean diaspora. For Jade’s PhD project ‘ Creolisation Caribbean Foodways: Breadfruit from the mid-nineteenth century to present’ is an interdisciplinary study will develop concepts from design history by focusing on food as a designed object alongside merging histories of gender, race, and ecology.
