Vanessa Easy
MA SCHOLAR | THE TAVISTOCK AND PORTMAN NHS FOUNDATION TRUST | 2018–2020
Vanessa has a strong desire to work with black and ethnic minority young people particularly young adult males who have experienced significant traumas in early childhood such as maltreatment, neglect, and abuse which is impacting upon behaviour, self-esteem, confidence and forming lasting relationships.
Vanessa has an MSc in Social Work from London Metropolitan University where her dissertation explored if sexual identity is explicitly/implicitly catered for in practice guidance, policy and legislation, and provided a discourse analysis and consideration of what this means for social work practice.
She holds a post graduate diploma in Practice Education from Havering College of Further and Higher Education, and have supervised MA and BA social work students on their first and final year social work placements.
